Merch product artwork

Mug Design for Merch—Artwork, Not Printed Cups

When the mug is the product, we design wrap and placement art your printer can run. We do not manufacture, stock or ship mugs.

Garment SKUs belong on merch t-shirt design. Product boxes and labels belong on packaging design. Use this page when the cup is the merch.

Overview

Mug graphics your printer can actually run

A logo on a stock mug photo is not production art. We design for wrap size, print method and handle-safe margins—then hand files to you or your vendor.

Broader merch stays on merchandise design. This URL stays on mug artwork.

What's Included

What mug design includes

Scoped artwork—not blanks, not shipping, not a POD store we operate.

01

Wrap & placement art

Full-wrap or front-only graphics sized to the printable area—not a logo dropped on a stock photo.

02

Print method notes

Sublimation, wrap or similar constraints called out so color and resolution match production.

03

Mug mockups

On-mug views for review. Mockups are not a substitute for a printer’s wrap template.

04

Print-ready files

Vector or high-resolution art packaged for your vendor—not a social crop.

05

Handle-safe margins

Layouts that leave room for the handle and rim so critical type does not wrap into dead zones.

06

Related merch when scoped

Matching tee or packaging art can be quoted separately so the merch set stays consistent.

Who it's for

When this page is the right brief

  • Brands selling a branded mug as merch or a gift SKU
  • Cafés and shops launching a signature cup graphic
  • Teams that already have a printer or POD vendor

Design, not a mug factory

We do not buy blanks, run sublimation presses or fulfill bulk orders. You get artwork that a commercial printer can convert. Apparel and box art stay on their own merch pages.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about mug design

Do you print, stock or ship mugs?
No. GraphicDigits designs print-ready mug artwork and mockups. You or your printer handle blanks, quantities, printing and fulfillment. We can note sublimation, wrap or similar constraints so files match how you plan to produce.
How is this different from merch t-shirt design?
This page is for mug surfaces—wrap, front placement and handle-safe margins. T-shirt design is garment placement for apparel SKUs. Use mug design when the cup is the product; use t-shirt design when the tee is the product.
How is this different from packaging design?
Packaging design is for product boxes, labels and retail wraps. Mug design is artwork that prints onto the mug itself. Matching box art can be quoted separately on packaging design.
What files do I receive?
Typically print-ready wrap or placement art, color and print-method notes, and a mug mockup. Exact formats are confirmed from your printer’s template—not a one-size PNG dump.
Do you offer unlimited revisions or a free mug quote package?
No. Revision rounds are listed in the quote. We review your brief and price scoped mug artwork. There is no complimentary audit or unlimited-revision promise.
What should I send before a mug design project?
Logo or art files, mug type (ceramic, travel, wrap size), print method if known, and whether this is a merch SKU, gift or café line. Share your printer’s wrap template when you have one.

Ready to scope mug artwork?

Share mug type, wrap size and print method. We will quote files—not a bulk mug order.
